    Implement Your Tax Savings Plan

A strategy only works when you put it into action.

You choose how involved you’d like us to be.

    You have the flexibility to:

    • Do it yourself: Use your personalized roadmap to implement the strategies independently.
    • Let us handle it: Engage our team for implementation assistance, including business structure changes, documentation, tax elections, and ongoing support.

    The choice is entirely yours.

    Monitor, Adjust & Maximize

    Tax planning isn’t a once-a-year event.

When you choose to engage us for ongoing advisory services, we review your progress, monitor changes in your finances and tax laws, and identify new opportunities to save. As your business and wealth grow, your tax strategy evolves with you.

Why it matters

Tax preparation tells you what happened. Tax strategy helps you decide what happens next.

If your tax professional only talks to you at filing time, you may be missing decisions that must be made before December 31. Your entity, payroll, retirement plan, equipment purchases, real estate, and bookkeeping all affect the final number. The time to plan is before the year is over—not after.

FAQ

Questions about the discovery call and the assessment

What happens during a discovery call?
We get to know you, your business and your tax situation, and you get to ask us anything about how we work. It’s a fit-and-qualification conversation, not individualized tax advice. By the end, you’ll know whether a Tax Strategy Assessment makes sense for you. This free video call is about 20 minutes long.
Who is a good fit for tax strategy work?
Our tax strategy clients are typically established business owners with $400,000 or more in business revenue, households earning $300,000 or more, or anyone paying $35,000 or more a year in combined taxes. Many of our clients own equine businesses, such as boarding and training barns, breeding operations and riding academies.
What happens during a Tax Strategy Assessment?
We review your past two years of tax returns, your business structure, income, investments and goals to find missed savings and compliance issues. We project your current-year tax bill and identify the strategies that fit your specific situation, not a generic checklist.
How much does the assessment cost?
The Tax Strategy Assessment is $3,000. If you’d like help putting the plan in place or ongoing advisory, we give you a separate scope and fee, based on complexity and the savings opportunity, before you commit to anything.
How long does the assessment take, and what do I need to bring?
Our work usually takes 2 or 3 weeks once we have your documents. You’ll upload your prior tax returns, current financial statements, payroll information, entity documents and a short list of your goals through our secure client portal. Please don’t send tax documents by email or through the website form.
What do I get at the end of the assessment?
You get a personalized tax savings plan with prioritized recommendations, the estimated savings for each, key deadlines and clear action steps. We walk through it with you so you understand every recommendation before you act.
Can I implement the plan myself or with my current preparer?
Yes. The plan is yours to keep, and you don’t have to switch preparers. You can carry it out yourself, hand it to your current preparer, or have us handle it, including business structure changes, documentation and tax elections. Some of our tax advantaged strategies are available only through our strategy partners.
What does ongoing advisory include after the assessment?
Ongoing advisory is optional. We review your progress during the year, monitor changes in your income, business and the tax law, and look for new savings as your business and wealth grow. Some strategies have to be in place before year-end or before a big transaction, so ongoing support helps you act in time instead of finding out at tax season.
